I love seeing this in competitions. It’s not as overdone as Esmeralda, and requires some technique to do well. The joy is each dancer finding their expression of the variation, how to show off their best skills, and playing along with the audience.

Well it might be a guy thing in the way we use the floor when we do jete’s, but we have to dig into the floor to escape from it. So brushing through the floor gives us our strong ballone when dancing petite allegro. It’s also generates more powerful appearance in our dancing. Especially if we have do brese’ volase’s, as well as for assemble’s, and even glissades. You can still have light and bright feet be going down into the floor to escape from it. And it’s good to have extended Achilles tendons instead of short ones.

Your hops in arabesque out of the pirouette (I make my own technical ballet terminology!) are absolutely amazing!! You keep your arabesque leg SO STILL; it’s awesome! That’s not easy at all. I love that you are funny and silly on other vids (not this one!) while at the same time you have tremendous ballet technique and artistry. 😊😊😊
