(So, I recorded this immediately following a prayer service we had in our church last night, to remember the shooting victims in Las Vegas and to pray for peace. I wanted to do just one take, and I figured whatever emotion....or wrong notes....that came out, well that's just what was meant to be)

I sang this to my Dad as he was dying (CANCER). He had stroked out so his left side was useless. All the words about running free, I could see my Dad (only 68 yrs) in Heaven w/ God. I know David Haas is under suspicion, but it can't take away from this song. I love you and you are mine.

I lost my mom at the end of July. We had the cantor sing this at her funeral, Mom loved this hymn. Came here tonight to find some comfort in this hymn. Heading into the holiday season, and it is tough without her. I know that you lost your dad. May God bless and be with all of you, Chris!
