I've loved Sloane's Numberphile videos on integer sequences. The sequences reveal how mysterious number theory remains, despite our millennia using these most basic units of quantity. Looking forward to this interview.

Neil Sloane's voice is ASMR all of its own :)

I am so grateful to you and all the people in your videos and podcasts. Great for listening while driving to work.

Neil Sloane and David Brailsford are two people that I could listen to talk about anything for an unbounded amount of time without even the hint of exhaustion.

That robotic voice is the most terrifying and yet also the most awesome "text-to-speech-like" voice I've ever heard. My disappointment was immeasurable when I realized that's _not_ what the OEIS "listen" feature does.

Enjoyed listening to this while working on a sequence for fun after being inspired by your last two (awesome!) Sloane videos. I had never heard of the OEIS before. As for the cold weather, yeah, some winters in Central New York can feel exponential, and the springs, like this past one, imaginary. Thanks for your great work!

Ah! It's the guy! The first sequence I ever submitted was accepted just a few weeks ago, and approved by Sloane himself. It's a tiny thing, but it makes me feel like a real mathematician.

A virtual reality tour of Neil Sloane's attic. You won't believe what you see.

If a sequence's strange?
And misunderstood

Who ya gonna call??

Don't really have anyone to share this with that would understand the context, so here goes :)

Studying Python, I was inspired by the "numbers that yield primes whenever a 1 is inserted in them" to create some terrible Python code to make a list of numbers.
I just got done and decided the only appropriate way to verify my output was to listen to 12:50.
It was quite gratifying to be able to read along with the voice and be correct xD

He referenced a theory of analyzing number sequences, Polya something or other. I'd love to see a video on that.

It’d be nice to see this happen with the scientists on the other channels as well

I'm forever taken aback by his voice. Each time I hear it, I have to reconvince myself he isn't 'doing' some sort of character :P

So this dude lived in the afteraffects of the war, got a bee, stole a coat, and created the oeis.

Love the evil voice of Mr. Sloane, a classic villain.

I didn’t realize he was the Sloane of MacWilliams and Sloane.
