As soon as you start using words like 'radical' and 'extreme' (which the interviewer annoyingly does from the very beginning) you are showing your own bias, loading the debate and lose any pretence to objectivity. A woman wanting to make decisions about her own life is not a radical extremist.

I am a Korean high school student. If people are aware that I have watched this video and agreed with her, my personal information (where I live, my school, etc.) will be spread through the Internet, and my face photo will be synthesized into a nude photo and will be sexually harassed. (My photo, which I have never posted on the Internet, is used without my consent.) Also, my family and I may be threatened with murder and be assaulted indiscriminately on the street.
A few months ago, a part-timer in a store was assaulted by a drunk man for having short hair and suffered permanent damage to her ear. He recognized her short hair as the Escape the Corset movement and assaulted an innocent woman, saying feminist should be hit.
That is why feminists cannot be seen in real life in Korea. It is very dangerous to be identified as feminist unless it is a place where only women or social media like Twitter where anonymity is guaranteed. Certainly, the 4B movement doesn't come up in reality. But the statistics show that marriage and birth rates continue to fall. These days, domestic violence continues to be more brutal in Korea, and young women are reluctant to date men. The 4B movement will spread more and more. Sentences can be awkward using a translator. I'm so happy that the 4B movement is known to the world. Thank you for reading a long article.

4B is not a gender war. It's a women's safety movement. Physical and emotional safety.

Just saw the Burning Sun BBC documentary and it answers so many questions about the South Korean government and society. Why on earth would a woman voluntarily bring life into a society where she is not respected, valued and protected? Where their perpetrators are let go with a slap on the wrist. Yeah, I'm not surprised to see the women in SK taking matters into their own hands for their survival.

They aren't hurting others, their wish is to be on their own. They have rights and the freedom to choose what kind of life they want. I don't see that as radical. Is just a life choice, just as no eating meat is or no drinking alcohol.

From my understanding, women in Korea rarely openly say they support the 4B movement because of safety. That's why when they are interviewed, they will always say it's the minority, smile politely and just do whatever they want (not dating, not having sex, not getting married & not giving birth with men that are misogynists)

It's like Fight Club
First rule of fight club, don't talk about fight club
Second rule of fight club, don't talk about fight club

Stay safe ladies

He was not the right person to conduct this interview, he is already biased, did not let her speak, obnoxious, and showing the same measly signs of a man who wants to lead a conversation but can’t. Didn’t even ask the right questions either.

the way the interviewer acts, behaves, and talks is so telling. women deserve so much better.

Oh wow. Did they really just end the interview by cutting her off mid-sentenceu? That is pretty sad.

I love y'alls videos and the work you do, but man was this one hard to watch. The constant interruptions of your guest, the immediate (and prevalent) use of a loaded term like "radical", and the non-stop changing direction and tangents breaking the flow of the conversation was frustrating. I feel like I didn't learn anything from this interview. I know you can do better, this was not it.

I’m disappointed in this interview. It felt like a complete disparagement of feminism and the real dangers of misogyny in Korea. I live in Seoul and can safely say misogyny is still going strong here. Though the more radical aspects of the gender wars have died down, misogyny is nowhere near fixed or even better in any real way

Women making decisions for themselves is not 'radical feminism'. Using that term just shows what side you are on. Hint, it's the wrong one.

Wish you had let her talk and stop interrupting her so much.

The interviewer needs to stop interrupting the journalist. Dude, let her freakin’ talk!

The fact that she views this is radical goes to further illustrate how big of a problem misogyny is an Asian countries and cultures. It's wild to think that you choosing what you want to do with your own body, is radical. I'm mind blown, I can't stop thinking how terrible the Asian environment must be for women. Simply terrible. I'm 4b all the way, call me radical I literally do not care 💀

Dude, Let her finish a sentence without changing direction of the conversation 🤫

Is was a very disrespectful interview. The woman handled it with grace. If I was her, I wouldn’t be finishing this mess. So so soooo disrespectful and unprofessional. Makes me think how the other female in Asian boss are treated… very disappointing

I think these guys were trying to sound fair and tolerant, but in the end they came across as smug and judgemental. There is nothing wrong with practicing the 4bs if that’s what someone wants to do. Why look down on them?
Let people be feminists in their own way and stop thinking you have all the answers.
