Male duck Sounds / identifying male and female ducks / Grandma lives in the basement

This short video explains how to tell the difference between male and female ducks by the sounds they make and how they look. Drake ducks / male ducks sound different from female ducks. Drake ducks have a curled tail feather and I show examples in this video.

Loved your vid .we have alot of Pekin too..their hard to manage but once they get acclamation to a larger body of water and gets on a feed routine they do great...it's been exspensive but worth it ..they keep all 4 ponds clean and their so lovable..we have 3 drakes and 2 female and plus alot of wild wood ducks and Mallard that fly in and hand out during feed times....I already knew the call sounds but this vid gives perfect demonstration and I thank you....we love our ducks and ppl come far distance just to hang out with them and love on them...they absolutely love attention..never once have they even bitten a guest unlike our mascovy breeds ... however have a few Muscovy breeds helped the domesticated Pekin gain better survival instincts than when they where alone... we make sure to add niacin tablet once a day into their fresh ice water bowls and they get a 20 percent flock maker duck and goose pellets feed once a day and their very happy and healthy with it

Great video! Straight to the point and very helpful. I just found out yesterday that all of my (only four 😅) ducks are drakes! I bought them straight run so the odds of that were slim! I adore them though & hopefully they’ll all get along as they were raised since teeny little babies together and no females are around.

I’m just a rambly type lol... don’t mind me...

One of my owners friends say we are "California king Pekin" vs regular Pekin how to really know that difference? Cause we don't speak people to tell them.
