I love Earthbound and Mother 3 too, but... ASRIEL CANNOT BE DEFEATED WITHOUT SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE PAST OF ASRIEL AND CHARA. Asriel literally has infinite defense and attack, so the very first turn will be deadly for Ness. And Ness didn't defeat Giygas, and even Paula wasn't the one who defeated Giygas. All characters from Eagleland were required to pray to defeat Giygas.

Straight up cap, Ness gets by most but dies once he faces Chara or Asriel, gets deleted once he makes the mistake of facing Gaster, and even Asgore would give him trouble, you can go all you want about him beating Gygas, but that was him legit using prayer with a bunch of other people, which seems more like him abusing a major weakness of Gygas rather than actually matching him, and even then Gygas can only be taken to universal at max when Chara, Asriel, and Gaster are all in the multiversal range at the least
