The reason Nazareth Speedway is marked as a fantasy track even though it did exist in real life at one point is because the track had already been demolished by the time of this game's release. It's an amazing little homage to include the track in the game anyway, though it actually had a bug with it in which if you took the apron all the way through, you'd be much faster than the AI. This does not happen in any other track in the game.

This was probably my second most played racing game on the PS2, behind F1 '06. The career mode was so much fun. You could actually start in a low-tier series and slowly make your way to becoming a Cup Champion, and once you do, you can race in all 4 categories at the same time if you'd like.

A lot of people call EA's sports games complete and utter shit, but this game is WAY better than all of the NASCAR games we got this decade.

Aside from Gran Turismo, ‘06, ‘07 and ‘08 were my games back on the PS2! So many great memories in that career mode. The voice of the agent still sticks in my mind to this day.

I always liked how this game gave you the choice to use either the "old" car design or the "Car of Tomorrow" in Cup races. And I like how they added the leader board on top of the screen. The career mode was kind of awful, though. I preferred Fight To The Top from 05, 06, and 07.

Probably the only game with the short-lived Gen 4 (pre-CoT) Camry.

This version was handled by Exient Limited. IDK why it was hated but it did somehow much better than the full version. A good decent racer.

Nascar 08 was actually released after Muse's new album of Natsuiro Egao de 1, 2 Jump its a great game on ps2 because of crash physics that were far better than the Ps3 version

How did you get the car textures to show up and make the game look so damn good??

Never understood why they made certain drivers who were actually not good in real life, really good in the game. David Gilliland for example

Your settings listed in the description work well for me, it only worked with the latest PCSX2 version 1.5.0, the only thing that bugs the games is the super low fps when on the track, what helps is turning the internal resolution back to the default native setting(seems to be the best) it lowers the resolution quality of the cars but i guess it depends on how your pc can handle it. (I have an Asus Reupublic of Gamers gaming laptop)

Although on Nascar 09 your description only mentions 2 options and when doing them it only renders a black screen forever after the first 2 prompt messages, using the Boot ISO(Fast) option crashes PCSX2 for me.

I commented on your video about that so I won't go into detail. Now all I gotta do is get the thunder games to work and see about getting 2006: Total Team Control to run just a little better, I get some lag spikes during races on that game.

This Game is good on the PS2 but here's how i could fix it.

- COT/Truck Series Should have manufacturers (Chevy, Ford, Dodge & Toyota)

- The Budweiser Shootout and The Nextel All Star Challenge should be added cause there were fun to play

- Alcohol should be added for Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kurt Busch, Clint Bowyer & David Stremme (tbh i don't care about the restrictions)

- Clint Bowyer DirectTv paint scheme could be his second paint scheme

- Truck/Busch Series should have more real drivers

- Swap Car Feature should be added in the interactive crew chief

- Challenge Mode should be added in Game Modes 🎮

It should focus on Challenges for the 2006-2007 season.

- 5 Rookie Challenges
- 5 Veteran Challenges
- 5 Legend Challenges
- 5 Bonus Challenges

More Cup Series Drivers should be added:

- Carl Edwards (#99)
- Bill Elliott (#37)
- Kenny Wallace (#78)
- Derrick Cope (#74)
- Ward Burton (#4)
- Mike Skinner (#23)
- Jeremy Mayfield (#36)
- Boris Said (#60)
- John Andretti (#10)
- Johnny Sauter (#70)

Bruh, everytime I boot the game with all the settings on the description, it works normally but when I get to choose the car, pcsx2 crashes (it's 1.6.0 btw)

There are some games that share the same name, but with different gameplay on two different consoles.

NASCAR 08 had a PS2 version (developed by Exient Limited), but a different version (developed by Tiburon Entertainment) was made for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

The PS2 version was surprisingly better. It had better graphics, more features, and great physics. The PS3/Xbox 360 version had dull graphics, horrible physics, limited features, and annoying opponents. After this game’s release, EA went to what they’re infamously known for to this day.
