Also I'd like to know what weapon that is at 5:14 with the glowing charge effect.

And yey for sidearms!  They look fun.  I've spotted at least 2 different ones so far.  Sadly they were both Arc damage so I hope they come in different elements.

when it says you can upgrade weapons and armour that you've collected throughout the game, including gear from the vault of glass and crota's end, how do you do that? is there a special vendour you go to?

This honestly looks so good. Bungie are constantly improving on destiny, which means we get better content at the end of the day. Can't wait!
