The Patriot would be the most advanced missile system the West has provided to Ukraine. Key advantages - Short response time & the ability to engage targets simultaneously. The system boasts of good ground mobility, and the ability to resist electronic jamming. Once the Patriot missile is launched, it is tracked by the phased array radar set. As the target is approached, the active seeker will steer the missile to the target.

Seriously expensive Tec!!! Until now they have only been used for defending against the odd missile being launched at Saudi Arabia from Yemen, and even then didn't seem to get the job done. I only see 4 missiles per launcher. how is that going to effectively defend against over 100 missiles being launched at the same time as well as cheap drones that will need to be shot down as well?

I don't think anything is going to change also Russia already demonstrated how you could overwhelm such systems and Russia would do the same. If anything this is going unleash the Russian armed forces unrelenting bombardment nonstop on Kyiv.

The Houthis, a few months ago, were able to strike Saudi territory with drones, despite the fact that the Aramco site was protected by the Patriot system.
Similarly, Hamas always manages to thwart the "Iron Dome" supplied to Israel by the USA.
