"My sisters and I have been doing a little investigating."

So nice of Bart to include Maggie.

The moment that started a everlasting rivalry.

I love how even before he's exposed, the animators added subtle little expressions to make Bob appear more sus. There's a single frame where you can see sweat on his neck.

This just goes to show that Bart actually is very intelligent. With some very good detective skills, he figured out that Sideshow Bob framed Krusty. He deduced that Sideshow Bob was going to kill his aunt Selma when no one else did. He managed to stall Bob by having him sing the entire score of the H.M.S. Pinafore opera so that they could get to Springfield in order to get him arrested. Bart is brilliant. I only recall Lisa deducing and foiling Bob’s plans once. It was the episode where he faked his own death so that he could cremate Bart by manipulating him into going to pay his respects

"Hes got little feet like all good-hearted people!" I knew Peggy Hill was evil.

Sideshow Bob has only himself to blame for his downfall. If he hadn't opened his mouth with that "big shoes to fill" comment Bart never would've figured it out.

Although Bart is usually portrayed as lazy or underachieving throughout the show, there are times when he is shown to be quite brilliant in forensics, especially whenever Bob is concerned

One of the few times Bart flexed his brain

"Treat kids as equals! They're smarter than you think! They were smart enough to catch ME!"
Are...are we sure he was the bad guy? I mean how did he escalate to the murder plots? What HAPPENED in prison?

Some Simpsons supporting characters took a couple of seasons to truly establish themselves, but Sideshow Bob seemed to spring right into place fully formed. And he wasn't even a regular.

So basically this entire rivalry started all because Bart exposed Sideshow Bob on Live TV.

Also unrelated. But at 2:21, I always thought Sideshow Bob here yelled “THEY WERE SIGNED OFF AGAINST ME!!” 😅😂

And this here, is the very reason as to why Sideshow Bob is trying to kill Bart now.

Bob's mistake was framing Krusty. He could've got Krusty thrown in jail by revealing his illegal activities. Even Krusty admitted this when they reunited in Sideshow Bob's second appearance.

I wouldn't got away with it too if it weren't for those meddling kids

Classic moment

The cops apathetic reaction to the revelation gets me every time (1:50)

If Sideshow Bob didn’t say he has some mighty big shoes to fill, or if he quit working for Krusty at any point in the past, or even better, if he hadn’t ever went through with working for Krusty in the first place, he wouldn’t have ever went down the path of a criminal, started a rivalry with Bart, and he wouldn’t have ruined his own life. That’s sad. That’s one way to look at it.

Kelsey Grammer as Sideshow Bob is one of the greatest casting decisions anyone has ever made

“…and shot you out of a cannon.”
“AND SHOT ME OUT OF A CANNON. YES, WE WILL NEVER FORGET THAT, WILL WE?”

This line kills me every time. 😂😂😂😂
