The NYPD arrested dozens of people as officers forcibly removed students and some outsiders who had barricaded themselves in an academic building.

The term “Ivory Tower” is an appropriate term. The general public sees a bunch of elite, rich and privilege young people barricading themselves in their “Ivory Tower”. Most of the NYPD arresting them can only hope that their hard work saving for their kids’ college education that their kids won’t act that way. What happen to the peaceful and nonviolent protest that Mahatma Gandhi did that brought down the British rule of India.

"Strawberry Statement" is a great classic movie to depict the anti Vietnam War Movement (and love story) in Columbia University. Partially because of the movement, the Vietnam War stopped. Hopefully the current genocide by Israel in Gaza also gets stopped
