@Senyrar This one is simulated surround. That means it's actually 2 channel audio, 2 speakers in a earcup. Creative has found ways to simulate a 5.1 or 7.1 effect in a 2 channel headset though by delaying audio and minimizing volumes and other cool ways which trick your ear into hearing 5.1 or 7.1. If you have a real 5.1 or 7.1, headset you'll actually have 5 or 7 speakers and a subwoofer in each earcup.

@619deceiver You need to use the USB adapter. It has software to emulate 3d surround. The headphones itself are actually only stereo.

Did you say that you "could" or "could not" distinguish sounds coming from above/below as advertised? You had such a bass-voice and loud music in the background that I couldn't catch that part.

I'm getting my Sigmas tomorrow. Let's see if they live up to your, and most reviewers, word about how good they are..

@thedufeys PC or PS3/Xbox? Because I gotta say, the toughest pair of headsets I've used is the CM Storm Sirus 5.1... Super heavy though and PC only.

Sound quality and bass of this headset is an absolute beast, used material is not the best as said before but considering its price, it's a good deal imo.

Sigma - 50mm drivers, steel headband
Get the sigma.

@phatpsphacker Yes. Try moving the mic closer to your face or boosting the mic volume. I don't know what else to say. Have you tried another mic?

@ItsFish2k I don't have the Tactic 360 Sigma, but I think the only difference is that the 360 Sigma works with the Xbox 360, but I don't think it has access THX TruStudio Pro like on the Tactic 3D Sigma.

@Wistbacka NP. The headset is still good though. You'll love it. On a sidenote if you can spare a couple more bucks, I think the Vengeance 1300/1500 has better SQ / Soundstage. You will lose TruStudio Pro though (unless you get a Creative sound card) and of course, they do cost more.

@Wistbacka I currently have it set to surround 40 crystalizer 65. (I think it's the default) I turned the rest of them off. I'm using the Corsair Vengeance 1300s though. Maybe I'll pop on the Sigmas later and try to adjust some settings. IMO default values are already pretty good. I find smart volume and dialog plus sometimes screws with movies and music though.

It depends, but I have mine currently set at 75% Crystalizer, 50% Surround and 25% Bass but it all depends on my mood and what I'll be doing.

@nairb2693 Yes the bass is a bit strong for a headset. It's more meant to be a gaming or movie headset over a music headset.
