WHO ARE WE?
We're Becky and Austin, an American couple who converted a 2010 170" Mercedes Sprinter van into a tiny house on wheels to travel full time on a budget. We left our jobs and spent 4 months in 2020 designing and building a completely DIY campervan conversion. In 2021, we lived the van life for almost a year to travel to almost all of the US National Parks.
On this channel, we're all about sharing details - money included - because we know how helpful it is to learn how long things take and how much they cost! We're creating these videos as a resource to help others afford and create their own van life, so if you have any questions, just drop them in the comments.

Don't sweat the MaxxAir remote control. The infrared receiver needs to be line-of-sight but it's recessed into the trim. That makes it almost impossible to use anywhere but directly underneath the fan. When I'm feeling just too lazy to get out of my platform bed, I have to perform contortions like a circus acrobat, leaning over and out, angling the remote, in order to get that light beam to hit the receiver. Other than that, I am super happy with it; it does a great job of cooling the cabin and ventilating the cooktop.

Hi guys. Without getting in your business, how did you manage to quit your jobs and yet survive traveling in your van? Was this something that you have been preparing for for some years? I am still very very impressed by your van I would love to do something like that with my husband but we have so much stuff and I would not know where to begin to as to what to give away on what to keep. But you guys have done a fabulous job. Stay safe
