EDIT: I used the wrong voice recording on the bone knife tip; You can use something sharp on bones to get a fishing hook, as well use bones on boulders to get bone knives but will still need something sharp to get the bones in the first place.

ive never been ill from unknown food cans i play console might be different on pc but on console they r perfectly safe to eat

Is it just me that’s eaten a whole unknown food can without stopping and be perfectly fine. Every single time I never get poisoning or anything.

Thank you. The stab vest definitely protects from bullets. People argue about that with me all the time. Just because its called a "stab vest" no doubt. Protects pretty pretty well from low caliber and not bad from mid caliber. Also it protects the same as a press vest from everything. The DayZ Wiki is very good. Its never steered me wrong and I trust it.

I have over 3000 hours in DayZ and never once have I gotten ill off an unknown food can. I eat until I get the stomach symbol and stop. Half the can, two servings. I don't know if it actually used to be a thing and they removed it or what, but unknown food is completely safe to eat as long as you stop as soon as the symbol pops up.

The rain, the can, the hospital building, and ruined items were things ive known for quite a bit thanks to these tip videos, i quite like learning more about a game that i didnt know about before

Also, medical items may spawn in the civilian buildings _around_ medical buildings

Idk if its just me but i never find anything in the hospitals. Only the clinics.

Make sure to check around the hospitals! There can be medical supplies in the houses nearby too

I’ve never let the arrow go down before eating again on the unknown food can, just a couple bites at a time on console and pc and never got sick

Im still sneaking all over pretty close to zeds and getting quite close in the rain and doing stealth kills and everything. Theyre definitely more aware but I feel like people are exaggerating the difference since the last patch. Ive only had one real issues with them since the update where they just kept agroing until there were like ten on me but it was in a tent in a military facility and it's happened before before the update. Sometimes you get mobbed in those places. Spent a half hour passing out in a bush... Lol.

Dont loose your time with the big hospitals, most of the times they are empty. Clinics on the other hand are best for medical supplies, if no one has been thru them.

New update to DayZ for anyone seeing this!! Unknown food cans are no longer safe to eat slowly. They will give you food poisoning!!! Keep up and stay safe survivors

Sneaking by zombies is so incredibly tedious now, it's it's enjoyable anymore.
They hear you from down the street while your in a building and it starts a chain reaction. I still enjoy the game but the Z's are just ridiculous now.
