Pretty sure many people here correcting her pronunciation were also wrong when they first pronounced Cabello

Ok, so here's the thing: She only has brazilian's language knowledge (and english, obv), and althought portuguese and spanish came from Latin, it doesn't mean that the pronunciations are the same. Actually, what everybody here don't seem to realize is that she pronounced "Cabello" as we normally do here in Brazil. The double L are not supposed to sound like an "Y" here, it's just a matter of fact that the culture is different but here we are in such an interconnected era and there's still people that seems to think that in Brazil we speak spanish. It's portuguese btw, and both languages are pretty different, smh, bye.

She’s Latina not Hispanic so don’t expect her to pronounce it the right Spanish way. Brazilians speak Portuguese.

Camila is Brazilian and we tend to read "Cabello" and say "cabelo" because it means "hair" in Portuguese. Remember, Brazil is not a Hispanic country and we do not speak Spanish. It's not that deep y'all...

Am I the only one that never thought she was a fan account, I only realised when someone said "oh her names a mix of Camila and Shawn" then I realised. It's also like Gigi her real name is Jelena which is Justin and Selena's ship name...

I saw Camila in the title and I thought it said Camila Cabello so I was surprised when I saw Camila Mendes. But I'm still happy because Camila Mendes is great on Riverdale and Veronica is one of my favorite characters on that show. I am a Camila Cabello fan myself, riverdale too. However, why bother on how Cami pronounced Camila’s last name? Like, yeah it’s pronounced CabeYo and not with L but is it her fault that she mispronounced it? Try being a guest in a show like this with that kind of pressure one-on-one, will ya?

Also, Cami is not really a fan of Mila, so its completely out of the line for judging her if she isn’t really aware of its pronounciation.

Actually, her pronunciation wasn't wrong. In portuguese, which is the language she knows, you pronounce "cabello" with "lo", in spanish you pronounce the double "l" with the equivalent portuguese sound of "lh".
