Taipei Cycling Expo 2025 Day 2 showcased a range of cycling innovations, from drivetrain components to smart accessories. Highlights included testing the "Award Winning" cranks (and walking away feeling like I'd been lied to), the XCadey carbon crank, L-Twoo groupsets, and SPIRIT modular cranks. Tech-focused items featured bike radars from Rui Xing, Dosun, and CubTek, plus the Bryton Rider S810 bike computer. Sumart introduced a super-light air chuck and piston spreader, while Obor and SCOPE displayed new tires and wheels. Novelty items included a hypoxic tent, mini bike souvenirs, and air insoles. The event also featured a walk-and-talk with Ollie from GCN and a Taipei Cycle eSports setup, wrapping up a diverse industry showcase.

Love seeing larger content creators shouting out smaller ones. Good on you man.

I found every booth in the video interesting. Thank you so much for the tour and for stopping by the tires like you promised yesterday

loved your reaction when you walked away! there was a section on GCN about L-shaped cranks. Apparently they were a big thing in years gone by. People bought them, records were coincidentally set but the Physics said a resounding NO.

Thank you for sharing this with everyone. ❤🙏😄

I had an R2 ltwoo 2x7 three years ago. It was trash but it worked. I recently got another bike with the new r2 system and it’s very nice now. Much more improved.

Modular cranksets seem a good idea, especially if they can be made to work with the common spider based power meters. Just received my PES P505B. Looking forward to testing it. A fan of L-TWOO but their manufacturing scaling is diabolically slow.

Shane, your frank reactions are so refreshing!!! I loved it when you whispered the prices on those disc wheels.

Dont sleep on the little e-inflators. I am using with my gravelbike one of this and already saves me couple times :) (stans dart wins with little nail ;) )

I'd love to see more on the MUFU cameras. It looks like they're manufactured in Taiwan for the Thai motorcycle market with a primary office in Bangkok. The V11S has a 2000mAh battery for 7hrs or optional 4000mAh for 15hrs. The V11s weighs 88g vs Cycliq 148g. The V12s appears to have both a front and rear facing camera, great for motorcycle helmets I guess. When clicking through their website on where to buy, the local sites show pricing ~$100 AUD. I'm sold and will be getting one asap as a safety measure.

The crank controversy. It almost looks like there are multiple places to mount the petals. I think you might notice more of a difference if they were mounted on the furthest hole. The concept is to make the crank longer for the down pedal stroke and shorter for the up pedal stroke. However all the internal gearing resistance probably voids any benefit. Even without any internal resistance 50% gains, is a crazy claim.

As i commented on Joe's video, all the cranks do is create an offset circle.
Just like putting a wood block on your tricycle pedals. Or drop pedals like shimano Dyna-drive.
The only difference in using gears is you can clock the offset at any angle you choose. In the case of the displayed cranks, the offset is forward, creating a "virtual" BB center where the pedals rotate around a point closer to the front wheel. (And the increae in toe overlap), but you could clock it closer to the back wheel, or higher or lower.

Much cheaper to just use an eccentric BB to accomplish this spatial translation.

A visible airtag is so your bike doesn't get stolen, not to find it when it does!
Just like how cars have a blinking light to indicate they have an alarm, how speed cameras are announced so people just don't speed, ... you get it ;)

Can't wait to get those magic cranks. Increase my watts by 50% means I'll be up with Pogi in no time.

FWIW, the hubs on my Canyon Endurace already are silent, or at least to my old man ears when sitting on the bike. They are a Fulcrum Racing 900 DB wheelset.

I had a set of older Ultegra wheels and Fair Wheels Bicycle made the absolutely silent. I wish i still had them and the bicycle they were on.
