there's a past paper question that i don't get. its cosec^2(x) = 1 + 2cotx. I have 2/4 solutions, but the mark scheme says 90 and -90 are also solutions. But 1/sin^2(90) is 1/0 right? same for 2cotx, if you plug in 90 or -90 you get 1/0 ? so how can they be solutions? thanks

Hi, was it possible to go from the right hand side to the left if you really wanted to?
