Gas engines get little from it because all it can do is bump timing a bit which most factory ECUs do already. It can however add a little line pressure to transmission and better shift patterns if it doesn't shift well from factory

Hi, I know this tuner is pretty old and there's not much about it online. But I had a few questions and was wondering if anybody could help. I have the origninal Banks Automind programmer model number 66114, for Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler. I have a 01 Ram 1500 with the 5.9L Gasser. The tuner is compatible with the truck. However, I do not notice a difference with the tuner on any of the modes. I know it is comminucating with the truck because I could change my idle speed, and it fixed my speedometer. I was thinking about updating the tuner or downloading some more tunes onto it, but Banks' update software wont recognice this programmer for some reason. Any help or ideas? Thanks!
