Inclusion of a green hill reprise is great because it's this glimmer of uncomplicated happiness the classic era represents for sonic while the emotional maturity introduced by SA2 / Shadow's story is hanging on the edge of tomorrow.

I never realized that Silver's theme song "Dreams of an absolution" shared the Green Hills leitmotif.
At 1:41, that is the Green Hills Zone theme, but the speed and tone of it made me think in my head "and I might know of our future."
