Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system. There are several medications available to treat MS, and they can be administered in different ways. In this video, I discuss the various routes of administration for MS medications and the considerations that patients and care partners should take into account when deciding on a treatment plan. The Route of Administration of Medications matters! I will cover topics such as oral medications, intravenous infusions, and injections, as well as the pros and cons of each method. My goal is to provide helpful information to those living with MS and their care partners as they navigate the treatment landscape.
