Guilhem Desq - Vastitude - Hurdy Gurdy & Drums

Vastitude, from the smallest mechanism on my instrument to the immensity of life.
This new video is the result of all the work I did those past 2 years on different levels : new mechanisms on my hurdy gurdy, new percussion system, learn how to play with all that, and a motorised arm for my camera... Why not? Maybe because I am just crazy. My hope is that this one will be the top of my complexity and that I will slowly come back to more simplicity, but who knows...🙃.

Sin duda la espera ha merecido la pena. Lo que más me ha gustado es que, después de tanto tiempo, esta canción ha sido una experiencia increíble. Me ha hecho sentir un montón de cosas distintas, hasta el punto de emocionarme y sacar alguna lágrima en algun que otro momento. Sinceramente, ha sido impresionante cómo has logrado transmitir tantas vivencias, experiencias y sentimientos.

Además, me ha parecido increíble el uso de la zanfoña y cómo has modificado las clavijas, que antes eran fijas, con un carril para hacerlas variables. ¡Me ha encantado! No sé exactamente el nombre de este sistema, pero me ha parecido espectacular cómo lo has integrado y aplicado.

Solamente puedo decir ¡Gracias por esta obra tan maravillosa!

Those slide tuners on the drone strings are an cool addition. The richness of the bass string is great! It's fun to see the instrument growing with your techniques. Amazing work as always. No, not amazing, transcendent! I love the middle eastern influence and complex time signature.

Cela fait des années que je me dis que s'il y a 1 instrument que je devrais jouer, ça serait de la vielle à roue. Tous les sons que l'on peut faire avec cet unique instrument c'est juste bluffant.
On voit toute votre maitrise (les précédentes vidéos aussi ceci dit). C'est impressionnant et montre que vous aimez cet instrument. Rare son les musiques et vidéos aussi qualitative avec cet instrument. Vous le mettez superbement bien en valeur.
Hâte d'entendre de futur morceaux ! Bonne continuation !
