Thank God I'm not the only one who forgets that my characters take damage. I've played for about 8hrs and haven't even seen a character die

i dont get the "story combat is so easy i can do it without looking" thing, you can literally do that on genshin and wuwa and in hsr you just autoplay it

Straight up, the game is not bad, and it's absolutely overhated.
Does the game deserve to be criticised? Yes, obviously, everything deserves to be viewed under a lens of scrutiny. But a lot of the things people are saying about the game is either hypocritical or just completely untrue.
For example, so many people complain about the difficulty of the game being too easy. With how people are putting it, *_everyone_* should've already cleared Shiyu Defense's hardest level on 3 stars. But they haven't, because the game's difficulty ramps up as with literally any other game. When Wuwa first came out, there were also complaints about the story being too easy, but the community was reasonable enough to say "it's story content, so ofc it's going to be easy; we should judge the game's difficulty on the end-game modes". But for whatever reason, ZZZ hasn't been given the same liberty.
Next regarding the characters, I have no idea why people are saying "the characters look like NPC rejects". There is such a diverse range of characters between the Shark Maid, the big booba engineer and the literal bear. Every character is dressed so interestingly, which includes the actual NPCs in this game. Seriously, people have been praising Wuwa for how interesting and well designed the NPCs are compared to genshin's default faces and outfits, but since _ZZZ is a bad game, _ I guess every character is just garbage design.
I could keep going about how ridiculous and stupid some of the criticisms for this game have been, but that'd actually take hours off my lifespan.

Honestly, I'm glad people don't like the game since it means they'll eventually stop playing; ironically, the people complaining about the loli and furry character designs are probably the most toxic part of the community.
Some people just need to realise that not every game was made for them. If you don't like it, you can just move on, there's really no reason to complain about issues that don't exist. The modern Gacha space is so saturated now, there's surely something else you'll enjoy; you don't need to spend any more time on this one.

This game giving me alot of good vibes from 2005-2010 games, some how i feel nostalgia while playing this game. The vibes are like S4League, Phantasy Star, Getamped... hard to tell

Hot take: I like the game.

I went in like every other doomposter, no expectations, thought it was gonna be mid, etc.
But it really just isn't that bad lmao. So far I really like the story, it gets yappy at times but whatever, so does every other gacha story. The comic pannels are funny asf imo, I think it's a nice touch.

The gameplay isn't mindblowing like WuWa but it's still fun, personally I think it's a nice change of pace after malding on Crownless Hologram for 8 hours. I don't think it needs to be hard to be fun. That being said, I will admit that the enemies have kind of boring attack patterns, I really hope they attack more frequently in the endgame stuff.

Most of the characters are kind of hit or miss for me, but the same was true with WuWa until 1.1. The designs aren't anything crazy but the lighting and effects on them really make them look good. I think it's fair to say that this is the best looking hoyo game (in my opinion.) The UI, while a bit confusing at times, is actually really clean, I really love it personally. The world looks really good too, I swear the game feels like a Persona spinoff, it's actually a vibe.

Music is the best thing about this game though imo, the soundtrack hits hard, esp the overworld osts. Some of the vocal tracks are cheesy af (like the gacha ost when you pull an S rank) but they still sound good to listen to. Way better than WuWa 1.0 osts, even though I was one of the few people who enjoyed them.

The game for me is basically an 8/10 so far. Not better than WuWa or Star Rail but it's such a relaxing game to play fr. It really is nice to have a game where you can just turn off your brain and chill, that's really all it needs to be. If I really want to mald and play harder combat I can just log into WuWa real quick. And then when I realize I have a critical skill issue I can come back to ZZZ and repeat the cycle. The best way I can describe how this game feels is like coming home and sitting on the couch after a long day of work. Except the "work" is the 5 other gacha games you spend grinding lmaoooo.

I yapped a lot here but yeah. My opinion. Call me a shill I don't really care, just let me enjoy what I want.

My thoughts on ZZZ VS WuWa gameplay is while I like WuWa gameplay more, ZZZ feels significantly less jank. The game doesn't lag or stutter, there aren't these weird moments where I try to dodge but my character just decides to do the walking animation leading me to get killed in the middle of combat despite being at full stamina, I don't have the camera freaking out on me, flicking itself 180° away from the enemy so I can't see what's happening before dying. I really would like WuWa, but it feels really hard to like it when the main draw is the combat and the combat has a lot of jank to it, so the more streamlined nature of HYV games are appealing + the vibes of ZZZ are a lot of fun.

Overhated or not, I don’t care. I’m having a blast playing the game, and no crowd is gonna deter me from enjoying this cool game!

Compared to GI 1.0, ZZZ is super enjoyable for me.
Spending 50 poly a day to refresh also helped me a lot with farming mats, since we get 60 daily anyway.
I'm currently running Corin premium team w/ Rina + Lyca + Butler bangboo (F2P btw) and the combat feels really really good.

I just think ZZZ is niche. And when you try to make a niche game geared towards everyone, it will catch a lot of flak. In all honesty, i think the game is fine as a side game, probably not a main game. Im around lvl 16 and i give the game a solid 7/10.

I wanted a fun, casual, stylish and polished game and that's exactly what ZZZ gave me. I already have a 'main' gacha with WuWa, and a few side mobile games. It's exactly the kind of commitment I wanted, and I enjoy the character designs.

This situation is so funny cause everyone is at each other's necks trying to decide if this game is good or not and I'm just having the time of my life with this game, the mechanical depth of the combat is really fucking good, it FEELS good to do anything and the game is actually difficult at times. I dig the aesthetics, the worldbuilding, the music and it just feels soo good to be the target demographic of this game lmfao

EDIT: About the game's difficulty, played absolutely everything in challenge mode always and the difficult is good. I didn't even know people thought this game was "mashy", cause it's just not true. Mtashed is kinda ret#rded for that take ngl, kinda feel sorry for that guy

wow 10 hrs in and still F2P, damn Pokke absolute Cinema if the endgame is like HI3 then it gonna be DPS check otherwise u will feels pain of not having certain charater or certain character type or status effect to fight the boss and has to malding with our sleepy face for entire fight. 😁

I think it is a good action game for an office guy like me. I can spend <3 mins to clear off the dailies and if I want, I can play a couple rounds of quick combats. The game also plays well on mobile (as compared to WuWa) imo, mobile users are probably the main target audience of Hoyoverse.

Coming from a devil may cry nerd I think this game is pretty smooth with responsive controls and good control of your agents. Very good clear animations to see what your agent is doing in moment to moment combat and good sound design. It just needs to get harder with maybe more enemy variety and interactions but I may be asking for to much for the type of game this is

i hope never seeing any wuwa fan ever again in my entire life after reading the comments.

the game is fun. it's not gonna be another hoyo top-1 income, but will have its audience. fights are dynamic, but kinda get repetitive. not a fan of character design, but like how much life every one of them gets in the story. game polished asf (if we forget how much storage it eats up), not even once ran into any performance issues. love the persona vibe.
def not gonna be my main game, but i will enjoy it sometimes. the hate is insane and undeserved.

This is the best review of the game so far. I like how Pokke doesnt give fuel for the tribalists. I play both ZZZ and WuWa and I agree.
