OK…..this worked! I am repurposing some old ties (late FIL’s) as Christmas ornaments. I was able to get the silk flat….but those folds just wouldn’t go away. I tried it this morning👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼….no more fold lines❣️❣️

Now, if I can just find a sealer for the fabric that won’t affect the color of the ties (resin will be involved in the craft). Apparently, silk is very particular about that, and every method other crafters recommend…..just doesn’t want to work on silk.

That is so helpful, thank you. Now just to remember this, when I need it 😂

Wow. I received a silk shirt from Korea today, and I've tried ev-er-y-thing on the very deep fold creases from storage and/or travel... this worked! Thank you so much! (My actual reaction while ironing was, "marry me!" hahaha)

Would that technique work with other fabrics like rayon, linen, or cotton?

I got wrinkles in some hand dyed silk scarves that I rolled in newspaper and steamed in a steamer for 2 hours. Ive yried ironing with and without steam. They arent coming out. Will the vinegar change the colors in the silk?

Don’t you better have something to protect or direct on the silk?
