I have purchased a z fold 5, 6 weeks ago and also have a iPhone 15 Pro Max. Now completely swapped over to the Fold5. I really like the narrow folded form factor - fits hand and pocket really well. Used to travel with iphone and ipad mini for light work. Now 1 device. The large screen and office 365 makes work possible - so much so that I leave laptop behind while traveling. Overall love the fold 5 experience. Use is 70% folded and about 30 % open.

I agree. I have the Z Fold 5 and won't be "upgrading" to the S24 Ultra. I love the slim outer display for more mundane tasks like replying to text messages or scrolling through my feed. The inner display serves all my other multimedia needs.

I've had both from Samsung. I sent the fold back . I couldn't deal with the narrow front screen. The ultra on the other hand is brilliant

the Fold 5 is my first foldable after using a TON of phones over the years (perk of working for 2 wireless carriers in recent years). I can never go back to a slab phone now. The inner screen is such a game changer

Going from a Note 20 Ultra to a Z Fold 5 has been an outstanding experience for me.
I've become spoiled with a foldable and don't see myself ever going back to a candy bar type device.

upgrading the s pen to be in the device, with Bluetooth, and working on the outer screen would be huge for the z fold 6.

Yup.. I use my z fold 5 for everything. Watching videos, movies, etc. I also have 15 pro has my main line but only use for messaging, family screen time. I haven't picked up my iPad mini because it really sucks compared to z fold 5 to be honest and maybe if the iPad had 120hz it might feel a little better. But, having 2 phones instead of a phone and a tablet is the way to go if you can do it. Both pocketball at the same time it's a wonderful thing and the way to go in 2024.

I switched from the Fold 5 to the S24U. Just couldn't get use to the super narrow front screen for day to day stuff. After you. Slap a case on it, it gets a bit harder to get to the corners and sides too. S24U is a WORK HORSE

went from a s20fe to the fold 5 and im just loving the use of the phone. Im not using the fold to its fullest but I love the niche folding use and got used to the narrow front really quickly

The way I see it is the S24 Ultra is an all-round better phone. Most people should buy it. Better no-glare screen, better battery life, better cameras.
The Z Fold5 has the bigger screen, everything else is worse or on par (except maybe speaker quality). I might sound biased towards the S24 Ultra but I'm a Fold5 owner with no plans of switching. The bigger screen means that much to me!
So basically - care for the wow factor and bigger screen? Z Fold5. Otherwise? S24 Ultra.

The OnePlus Open is more attractive to me. It provides a full phone experience with the front screen but transforms into a tablet when you need a bigger screen to work on. The price has now been dropped to a point where it can be given serious consideration. I think the front screen on the Z Fold is just too narrow for serious use. The OnePlus Open for me is the better alternative to the S24 Ultra.

After months having both kinds of phones, and lots of time thinking about which one I should be using this video finally helped me to make a decision. Since my s22 ultra is 256gb/12 and the fold3 is 512gb/12, carrying my spen pro or the spen fold edition will be my best choice.

As the camera is of utmost importance to me and I frequently use high zooms, often ranging from 50x to 70x on a daily basis, opting for the S24 Ultra was the most suitable choice for my needs.

I've been using fold since 2nd gen and have seen so many meaningful improvements in the fold series. I'm using fold 5 now, but I really want to try out S24u because of its AI features.

The trouble with the Z Fold is that it's a half-way house between a tablet and a premium phone. If I were to have only one device, I'd probably go for the Z fold. However, I already have a large tablet, so I just need a premium phone, especially one with good cameras, and my S24 Ultra fills that gap.

I had the zfold 5 i got it at launch went from a note 20 ultra. After about 5 months of use i traded it in and went back & got an s24 ultra (which i am using as i type this) ive found that the zfold & flip line of phones are nothing more than a novelty, upon which built on technology that i genuinely believe is not ready for another 8 years bare minimum. If Apple has shelved its production plans of an flipping iphone due to cause of concern for reliability sake, after which they tested Samsung's line of folding & flip phones that should tell you all you need to know, that they arent worth its asking prices. My main point of all this is to say get a phone that has been proven to be tried and true & wont have to replace or repair in 3 years.
