Who are Kara and Nate?!

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.

We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted ;)

So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.

Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this channel to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.

4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time!

After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time international traveling! And now we are in our 9TH YEAR of finding the best adventures the world has to offer :)

We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎 Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

The footage of the mother nursing the cubs is honestly some of the best wild life footage from any YouTubers out there!

I'm a 42 year old norwegian man and I'm sitting here sobbing. This is perhaps one of my favourite youtube videos ever. It encapsulates everything I love on this platform. Thank you for making the Internet, and life in general, a better place. Please, please, please never stop doing what you are doing Kara and Nate. You have no idea how important your content is to a lot of us. ❤

This video production and camera quality and commentary is immaculate you don’t just have a memory of a lifetime but a piece of art work in journalism and documentaries.

The mommy’s paws sticking up breastfeeding was the best film I’ve ever seen. EPIC for no better word. Kara every time you tear up I’m right there.

You did really well with this one. Like the Norwegian, I'm 73 and sitting and watching your Masterpiece with tears coming down my cheeks. This piece deserves an award. Thank you.

The best part of my weekend is watching your videos in the morning with my coffee, cuddling up with my 3 month old daughter.

When the mom dug a whole to sit and nurse her cubs was so cute and she just had her paws moving in the air 🥹🥹

The footage of the Mama and her cubs was amazing. Despite reading all these comments, about her nursing, I was not prepared for the emotions I felt seeing the drone footage…it took my breath away. You continue to amaze me with your videos. Trip of a lifetime #what?!

I think that what always gets me about you 2 is that you are the same as you were years ago when you started. Honestly you never act like entitled. You genuinely are so enthusiastic still about every adventure and just so grateful. Its really great to see.

OMG! We have watched all your videos. This is the best you have ever produced. Congratulations! You need to publish your photos of the polar bears. I will be the first to buy one. Absolutely amazing! Well done

As a midwife watching the mother polar bear breastfeeding her cubs was so magical. Seeing her prepare the area so that she could be in a comfortable position to feed highlighted how similar mammals are. I always educate my mum’s to get comfortable and have everything you need close by prior to feeding your baby. It brought tears to my eyes, Thankyou for the heart warming vision.
Oh and my autistic non verbal daughter LOVED seeing the arctic 🥶fox. She loves anything to do with foxes 🦊.

I worked with my non verbal PCA client this morning. He was watching videos about school buses (he loves school buses), but I asked him if he wanted to watch Kara and Nate’s new video and he whipped his head around to me and nodded yes. He was so engaged in the video that he forgot about the toys he was playing with. Thank you as always for an amazing video. I’m so happy I found a weekly Saturday morning tradition for both of us where no words need to be spoken! :)
