Love your calmness & slow soft way of explaining things. I tried testing Remote Monitoring that can display HDR feed on my iphone 14 pro max. I don't get HDR view on my iphone. I think this needs Ultrastudio mini 4k first to have HDR show up in the viewer, only then HDR signal will be streamed to iPhone. Correct me if I am wrong as many of the youtuber claim about HDR monitoring possible with iPad/iPhone but do not mention the need of additional hardware required first to have HDR feed in the Color page viewer.
Shot some 4k HDR DolbyVision 10bit footage on iPhone, 18.5 Resolve Studio I created a HDR HLG project & tried to remote monitor it using H.265 4.2.0 10bits (without Decklink or UltraStudio) Color Viewer shows over exposed Highlights bcoz Resolve doesn't tone map like Quicktime & Final cut pro do on Mac. So I conclude one needs additional HDR capable hardware only then you can monitor HDR signal on iPhone.

Great and detailed tutorial. But when I tried with all the guidance you gave, I get an error in the app 'connection timed out'. I tried various settings with different codecs and bit rates but no luck. Can you suggest a solution?

The two devices only work in the same Wi-Fi environment. Can they function in completely different locations as well?

It’s a great feature I just wish the viewer didn’t need to go threw a sign up process

They should put their name and email max and then be prompted to sign up in the future.

I have used this app for a while now and I noticed that whenever I am streaming HDR, the highlights are massively clipped on my iPad screen, but not on the scopes. If I turn the brightness down on my iPad, the issue goes away. Also, for example if I export and view the output on my iPad separately, the brightness is different. Why does the iPad not display the image properly?

Great tutorial, thanks. On my Ipad Pro the image has too much contrasts on both HDR & SDR in comparison with my first screen and Oled cleanfeed. The DaVinci app for Ipad also has the same issue and I have no Idea why. It's probably the gamma settings that is incorrect between DaVinci software and the iPad screen. Beside this it's working perfectly great !

An important question: Doesn't the iPad Pro *have to be* in reference mode to show an accurate image? Otherwise an arbitrary brightness setting client-side would affect the picture ? Another question: In the video, your iPad is hardwired to your computer. Is this a feature of Remote Monitoring to reduce latency in the signal, or are you just charging your iPad ?
