This reminds me of a story that my dad told me- where one night when my papa was in hospice, and my aunt was with him. He stopped talking and was quiet, and she was sure he was dead. In his final act of mischievousness, he went “bah!” scared my aunt. He took his opportunity to pretend to be dead, which we only get once in a lifetime. He died not 24 hours later.

I love how Stephen lived for 5 hours and 10 minutes after he got shot. I was thinking, "You probably could've gotten him to the hospital, Whitney." and then she said it two minutes later. Thinking again, they could've DEFINITELY gotten him to the hospital.
