Rode the Levo SL for a couple months and I definitely wanted more power . On to the Gen 3 Levo now and should’ve got in the first place.

I did it this way
Bought a 2021 Bulls E stream
Then a 2021 Bulls Copperhead
and currently a 2021 trek rail 9.8 XT that I have stripped and Rebuilt all XTR and Race Face 31 carbon wheels
Sold the Estream
Selling the Copperhead
The trek rail is the king Bosch motor Rules hands down all day PERIOD

The real trick is finding a bike nearby to try. We were lucky. Found a Giant Stance E two weeks ago for myself and today got a liv Embolden Efor my wife . For the money they are a capable bike with enough power to handle the steepest climbs I am going to tackle yet handle well enough for black trails as long as you are not a downhill rider. Giant headquarters is in Vancouver so any major problems don't require shipping across the country.

N+1 had me completely swamped by option overload! Lots of thinking, sold up but kept my both my acoustic susser & hardtail and my BMX. Bought an eMTB based on what I’d learned about my riding needs and feel back in control. Life’s better, I enjoy planning rides to suit my bikes. They all get plenty of use, the spiders in the shed don’t get a chance to settle in anymore. All the advice in this video is spot on. Invest time in thinking & trying before committing the money.

After finally having saved up and a few bonuses from new work. I could afford an ebike and still have plenty left for savings, but now the yt decoys, kenevos, canyons, all out of stock for over 4-6months. Turned to used bikes on pinkbike and found a sweet 2019 kenevo comp, matte blue. Even better, angled headset, bomber fork, spare wheel set, tires, cranks, handlebars and even a spare battery. All that with a 2 year extended warranty transferable to new owners, myself, so now I have 2+years of warranty left 😁
Deal of a life time, but with seller so far away, testing it out was impossible. Research and a leap of faith is only way forward.

Ps, it rips

There's lots to be said to buy from your closest dealer as no doubt it will have to go back at some point. I've wheeled my E genius 700 tuned into a small local shop that sells at most £1000 bikes and it was like taking the starship enterprise to an ironmongers.

Good! Great tips.... remember to have some idea before buying.... do research on sizes! Do research on motor! Compare prices with bikes that have similar components! Carbon can get damaged easier... so if it’s your first bike maybe aluminium or alloy is better... Don’t rule out getting a mid drive Bafang.... mine has done 10, 000 kms and I bought it for $aud 1800.... just replaced the forks with air shocks and I hit the trails.... a year later I bought a full suss Focus 2020 JAM2 because it was aluminium and was a good price... very happy with it but now want to upgrade the suspension.... may just trade it in when the right bike becomes available.

Beacon Bikes outside Brighton allows the public to try for free on a huge Astro turf pitch, or to hire any of the range of bikes they have. Great advice, high end mid drive bikes are available. Worth a look and have a hookup discount with a eBike sales company if you do rent I think 👍👍
Never seen so many ebikes in one place! New company i understand.

Some LBS might refuse to do work on your ebike if it's not purchased from them, especially if this involves the motor. In my case I couldn't even get some basic diagnostics for my Yamaha PW-X motor at a shop. You might also want to factor such things as well - ask if your LBS has this kind of policy.

Can't go wrong with a dual suspension Emtb .Great value and reliable with quality suspension components is Merida E160's Aluminium frames for under $8k (£4) Australia and the bonus is they have been available recently. E=Mtb²

SPECIALIZED TURBO LEVO ALLOY, that is way to go!!!

Don't compromise and buy it because it's in stock! Look for ones you really want and if anything go a step up in performance if not available and you can squeeze out a little extra without getting your self in a bind. If not keep looking till you find a bike in stock your going to be happy with. One other thing ride it!

Can you rely in thst emb to get you all the way up that dirt track without any assistance before you come down again?

Based on my own experience, I suggest chatting with local riders about your lbs options. The shop that sold my Turbo Levo really mangled the setup. The fork air pressure was higher than the maximum spec'ed by Rockshox, for example, and I weigh 63 kg with kit. It may have been just one bad-apple employee, but it resulted in me not trusting the shop.
