She’s doing it slowly for a reason. To show that angle and direction of the wrist determines the tightness of the curl. It also affects the volume. You don’t have to actually do it that slowly. I’ve been curling my hair with a flat iron for years and it definitely makes a difference to use this on flat hair that’s above the shoulders. I use different techniques depending on if I want a more natural look or a more formal curl. If you just pull it all the way through, there won’t always be consistent curl patterns from root to ends.

**also naturally pin straight hair will not hold a curl without extra attention to the roots and a lot of hairspray. Use heat protectant spray before!

I listen to ASMR at night to drown out my husbands snoring (so I can stay married) and they always talk about tingles with some noises. I never get those but for some reason watching you pull those little strands from the curls and styling shot tingles all through my head, neck etc. I just cut my hair and trying to figure out style it and came across your video. If you don't do ASMR you might think about trying it with these tutorials because that was crazy how i felt that.:)
