The 3.5 Ecoboost has grown on me. I was skeptical when they first came out with the earlier variant having carbon issues and intercooler problems. Now that folks are getting 200k-300k miles, I’m sold. I can deal with the cam phaser replacements since that’s more of a wear item and it’s simple.

Randy The Ford when cold believe it or not . Put gas pedal to the floor & crank it for few seconds . It will not start but it will circulate oil & not knock as long . Most manufacturers do the same !

Randy you have to remember a lot of people have not been going anywhere since the start of the pandemic. I'm in the high risk category. I've only driven my truck 10 miles since 2/1/20 and I am sure I'm not the only one. Thank God for all you YouTubers and Grit tv to keep me entertained. 👍👍👍👍👍

The ML 320 and Monte Carlo would probably both be good bets. 👍🇺🇸
I've always wanted to get a 2000-2007 Monte and drop a 6.2 LS3 in it...😉

Red truck has a bend in the lower lift to control arm mounting point. Probably straighten it out, or replace the mount.

Love, love, love that Monte Carlo. I had an SS that was my first brand new car. I have a soft spot for them. I hope you pursue that one!

On that gmc sierra that has a lift kit, if you look at the front inner control arm bushing where its held into the rough country lift kit bracket you can see it tweeked back a decent ways

Would love to see more trucks like this, especially the 70's and 80's models, they are bringing crazy money right now!

Mean, rugged, rough and it looks like it doesn’t care. Very true comment Randy.

The Monte Carlo brings me back. The first American car I drove. Flew to SFO back in 2001. Rented a car expecting to get a Ford Focus or similar. Was upgraded and got one of these in silver. Nice ride.

This gmc would be a good beater truck! Man that 150 is sweet! Benz maybe. Monte Carlo I’d take a chance!

The ML is a survivor. Might be worth a look, if you can get replacement parts for the interior.

The F150 was the bid of the day and possibly the auction. If you didn't bid ou missed out. IMHO

The Silverado had a twisted hitch bracket. The frame looked ok from that angle. You can also see from the looking through above the front tire the lift cradle is bent where the lower arm mounts.

GMC operation repo truck I never thought I would see one of those trucks on the auction lot very cool

That gmc truck. Has a different driver's side fender than the passenger side fender. So there is something going on with that driver's side

Hey Randy, I have a 2000 ML320. I love it! It's been my daily for about a year now and I took it off-road several times to the top of the nearby mountain where I live.

That "bug" in the Monte Carlo was a German Cockroach. The owner must have had lots of food and trash in that vehicle. My guess is someone had it cheaply detailed and tuned up, but couldn't sell it for their holdout price. Likely, an estate sale effort, or a descendent trying to get the most for the vehicle during the estate liquidation period. The clock ran out, so they turned it over to IAA to dispose of quickly. Make a lowball offer, and they will likely take it. I would check every nook and cranny for food debris, especially under the seats. Also look behind the dashboard and in the glove compartment for more roaches.
