Myung-Whun Chung doesn't have blood flowing in his arteries and veins, but music! He is one of my favorite conductors! He really brings out the best in an orchestra!

Spent many nights listening to and watching this video while working on my phd dissertation. Concert versions i attended afterwards did not compare. Unique & sublime in the literal sense. 💗 ❤ Merci maestro

Stunning. Probably one of the best single performances I have ever seen of this work. The last movement is without comparison

How touching is the end of the piece, when Chung shows much intensity and deep feelings. Great conductor! And the orchestra is at his same high level  of interpretation.

On this melancholy rainy morning in the east coast of USA, your music sounds so poignantly beautiful. Thanks for your numerous outstanding performances under the Maestro Chung's ever so subtle baton. You have made the world sweeter. Thank you and may the God's blessing always be upon you!

This has to be the best version I've personally heard. I love and adore this symphony. And by God, they have done it justice here. Thank you to all the souls who made this possible.

13:45 Best moment in the first movement. It's like a terrible, a tragic failure of a god, and yet so marvelous, glorious.

Every time I listen to Tchaikovsky's 6th I feel a jolt - or a "downer" if you will - between the 3rd and 4th movts. The mood changes dramatically from joy to sadness; in that last movt everything leads up to extreme pain and, as I heard Ken Winters say on CBC Radio in the early '90s, "ultimate tragedy." The Pathetique is both the last and most tragic work published during Tchaikovsky's lifetime.

1st Movement (Adagio – Allegro non troppo) 00:00
2nd Movement (Allegro con grazia) 20:24
3rd Movement (Allegro molto vivace) 27:54 (I love the part where he mimes his collar being too tight lol)
4th Movement (Adagio Lamentoso) 36:35

I always admire conductors who are able to conduct this work. It would be emotionally impossible for me. Even Mr. Chung has to wipe his eyes at the end before he turns for the bows.
I would be a sobbing wreck by the end. I played the piano version often and it happens to me all the time. I just can't detach myself enough.

39:50 Literally the only part of music that makes me cry... Somehow I feel that it portrays the loss of love or death ...

Человек должен пройти через страдания, чтобы стать человеком. Вот о чем 6-я симфония. Чайковский- абсолютный гений!

Truly an outstanding performance played with all the energy, pathos, and poignancy this symphony deserves.

Incredible tempo control for the 3rd movement.
Constrained emotions, however sounds never unwilling,
Aristocratic (4th movement). Acoustics is not dry at all (I like it); sounds perfectly balanced (slightly wet).

Very good performance.
