Raven's response made me cry. It's extremely true, and until we as a society agree that mental health is equally important to physical health, then changes can occur. It's everyday. Not just every few weeks/months.

Amen to that!! Mental illness and addiction doesn’t discriminate!

I think she is right for sure. But I think the problem is more inclusive than that. The industry treats children like adults, they overwork them, they mold them into an image and not a person all the while profiting from them. There needs to be more good people in this industry helping these children, instead of throwing them out when their popularity has expired. There needs to be advocates and therapists helping them while they are young, so many of these child stars have mental illnesses or addicted to drugs early on and don't stand a chance in the real world. R.i.p. Aaron a sweet, lost soul gone way too soon

It's amazing how Raven has managed to navigate this industry, and avoid all those pitfalls. At least publicly. She's been in the business since before she could even read. She had to memorize her lines on The Cosby Show by ear because she couldn't read.

Raven gave a great answer. We do need more mental health awareness and just more kindness in the world.

She should have added the hate, the bullying doesn't discriminate no matter what age your are & it needs to stop. Also, the fact that people praise, send prayers etc. to someone after we lost them. How about you remind any person near or far (in every sense that is interpreted) that they are loved, respected, etc. Keep a person in their happy moment. Sadly, one of word hate stays & all the words of love can be overlooked when dealing with mental health. To all --- STAY STRONG 💪 💫🕊️

Mental health BEGINS in early infancy!! Want to get the world, right?? Educate on and support the infant and primary caregiver attachment bond! Intergenerational trauma is REAL! Just focusing on mental health in adulthood is putting a band aid on a deep intergenerational wound.

"Raising secure, emotionally competent, cooperative children who have free access to their creativity and expression is desperately needed for the health of the human race and the health of the planet. Raising secure children matters."
— excerpt from The Attachment Connection by Ruth Newton, Ph.D

Mental illness is real and the reality is many people that have or get mental illness are not helped by the people closet to them. At times some of the people cloest to them cause the mental illness. The reality is that anyone can get mental illness and we all need love, support and encouragement to survive in this life. We all need the saviour Jesus Christ, He is the reason I survived mental problems.

Not only that, but we need to protect our youth who are in the business. All up and through their daily lives. Keep the people out that bring the drugs, keep the YES People out! Keep an eye on everyone that associates with your child because some of them are grooming them right under your nose and have the nerve to say, "This is just the business". No it's not.

Purple Sweet Potato Pie! I just saw a recipe on one and I was debating. This is a sign to make it.
