I think this raises a great point about dolphins, and since they could be similarly smart to us, I wonder if maybe we should be providing dolphins with certain things they can only not have due to their lack of hands and legs. We could be giving them something like a message board where they can record sounds by pushing buttons or help them develop some form of "writing"/knowledge accumulation. But maybe we should be getting them stoned on more psychedelic stuff than puffer fish venom... We might suddenly make great progress in human-dolphin communication.
