To everyone who knew him, Tyler Jarrell was a promising young man with everything going for him. On July the 26th, 2017 he planned a day out to the Ohio State fair to help his girlfriend Keziah overcome the grief of losing her grandfather in the weeks prior. Unfortunately, the day would end in horrific disaster when the ride known as the fireball malfunctioned, throwing multiple people off the ride and towards the ground below, this resulted in devastating and deadly consequences which the investigation found could have more than likely been avoided. So what happened that fateful day at the Ohio state fair? Let’s talk about it. This is the Fireball Disaster, the Infamous death of Tyler Jarrell

The company that made the Fireball sent letters to the owners stating that rain collects and rusts out the metal. They offered a fix. The owner said he never got it. The anonymous worker said in another video that he saw the rust and his boss told him to paint over it. The owner should have been prosecuted.

Also, Rest in Peace to Jennifer Lambert. She was hit by debris and suffered a traumatic brain injury, dying about a year later in the hospital from liver failure. So tragic.

I wonder how the girlfriend is doing mentally. It's bad enough losing your grandfather, but to suddenly lose your boyfriend too must've really broken her. Wherever she is now, I hope she's doing well and has found happiness.

What a slap in the face. You lose your grandfather and your partner takes you to a theme park to cheer you up, only to die in front of you..very sad.

that’s horrible, that poor girl attended her grandfather’s funeral that same day and then her boyfriend dies):

My former husband who seemingly feared nothing would not ride on carnival rides stating, “they are put together by hung over and buzzed Carnies, taken down in three days, shipped to another carnival and reconstructed. Over, and over, month after month. They are death traps!” He had worked as a Carnie as a young man, so I guess knew what he was talking about.

This channel has absolutely opened my eyes to how much these things actually happen. Just mind boggling the amount of deaths in the past 10 years was crazy.

Words can barely describe how awful I feel for Keziah...

She went to the fair, wanting to having a good time with her boyfriend, who wanted to help her overcome grief... Yet she was felt with even more grief... I pray for her, because I can't even... I hope she is okay mentally.

Never trust a ride that comes out of a suitcase.

Absolutely tragic. I feel so bad for Keziah. She was just grieving for her grandfather and then had to witness her boyfriend dying.

Lose your grandpa, then a few weeks later your boyfriend? Damn, that's tough and I feel so bad for the poor girl. Hope she, her family, and Tyler's family are doing better now and my heart goes out to them.

I love that you always end with a supportive message for victims and their loved ones ❤

There is a reason I have never- and will never- get on ANY ride at a fair like this. So many of them pay no attention to the proper maintenance of their rides.

I remember when this happened. Though I don’t remember much, I remember my dad pointing to the Tv and saying “That’s why I don’t let you on those rides”. I hope Tyler’s friends and family are doing well after this incident 😞

This story made me cry. My son is almost exactly 5 months younger than Tyler and had just graduated from high school when this happened. Our state fair is at the end of August and remember the newscasts talking about how the rides at our fair that year would be undergoing very rigorous inspections before the midway rides would be allowed to operate because of this incident. I seem to remember that there was at least one ride that wasn’t allowed to operate because it failed it’s inspection here.

His mom, family and friends have my deepest sympathies. I can’t even fathom what it was like for Kezia to find out that she’d lost her beau on the same day she buried her grandpa.

When I heard that he was there as moral support to his girlfriend that lost her grandfather a few weeks prior, my heart sank. I bet she blamed herself for this. Tragic.

My condolences to the family. This disaster was horrible. My father and i went to the fair that day and were going to stay just to ride that ride. Ultimately found a fish that someone just left (one that you win at those carnival games) and left with the fish instead. Literally 20 minutes later this happened.

I live in Michigan and the Fireball was my favorite ride at our county fair. When I heard about this, it put these disasters into perspective. It's always something that happens on those other rides, at other parks/events, but that was what I rode countless times as a kid. It could have happened any time.

This is so sad 😢 I feel especially awful for Keziah... so many terrible things happening at once. I find it really sweet that the Marines not only put out a statement but he also got it on his tombstone
