We need to de-escalate the fighting, but why is Hamas not called to account with questions like, 'When are you going to start looking after your citizens?' No legitimate government willingly places their citizens in harms way

The Palestinians are the victims of their own government just as the Germans civilians who died in WW2 were the victims of the nazis, not the allies. Let's assume for the sake of argument that Israel stole some Palestinian land. If so, it was because of the English Partition, which was not generated by Israel.

Can you find land that has not been stolen? Not France. It was stolen by Julius Caesar in the Gallic Wars. America? Europeans stole it from Native Americans. They also stole Canada. Europe? Stolen by the Mongols. Africa? Don't make me laugh. Colonialism and inter-tribal wars changed hands so many times that nobody knows who owns any place.

Most victims of stolen land do not swear out a war of vengeance and annihilation against the perps. In America, we gave Natives some reparations. Maybe not enough, but we tried.

Muslims live in Dearborn MI by the thousands. THAT land was stolen from Sioux, Iroquois and Blackfoot Tribes. These tribes were very active for hundreds of years in that area.

As far as I know, no Muslims have paid reparations or returned that stolen land to American natives.

Maybe they should. You tell me.
