I know that it’s not on the list, but my favorite set is the NASA Apollo Saturn V- at nearly 2000 pieces (1969 to be exact, quite fitting indeed) it is (somewhat surprisingly) a very fun build. It’s not that repetitive, uses some fascinating building techniques, and is actually quite sturdy. The astronaut nano-figures are awesome, along with the lunar lander and splashdown scenes, which are cool little mini builds as well!

I'm obviously a bit older than you and so THE most iconic set for me was the Pirate Ship from around 1990. A close second choice for me was the Space mono-rail from around the late 80's (I never owned this one). Out of the ones you have listed, for me, it has to be the Star Destroyer. I would argue that this ship is actually even more iconic than the Millennium Falcon.

Ninjago City has to be my favorite lego set ever.

I miss lego lord of the rings! If they had a giant mordor or even shire, it would be amazing... or a "Dark Knight" themed gotham city

That gentleman narrating... He sounds so... so calming. It's like my ears having honey dripped into them. Wherever you found that guy, keep bringing him back. I haven't felt at ease like this in a while! 😏

They recently added a Lego store in Australia and inside they had a 10261 roller coaster. I decided to make my own minifig and put it along with 10 others on the tracks. A group of people watched as all the legos fell down. It was hilarious.

I'm 49yo and have always wanted to build Lego but haven't, ya know cuz, life and all. Anywho, I just finished my first build last week, the Ghostbusters fire house. I am now addicted for the rest of my life. Lool

Of these ten sets, I own only one: the Ninjago City. The combination of the City and the Docks is truly awesome and really diverse and interesting to build.

I absolutely loved ninjago city. It was an EXTREMELY fun build. It’s definitely my favorite. (Even though it’s the only one on the list I have)

12:30 - Just got my 75192 UCS Millenium Falcon to unbox on May 4th. Can't wait to build it with my 7 year old son, who will be viewing the first 3 movies for the first time. I was 11 when it happened for me. Addicted for life....

Top 10 large sets for me is:
-NASA Saturn V Rocket (might possibly be THE best overall build, design, enjoyment of build, and display model Lego has ever built. And from a 'fan' designer makes it so unique.)
-UCS Death Star (The best playset Lego has ever built.)
-SHIELD Helicarrier (fantastic display model if you like military ships, etc. or a Marvel Comics fan, plus working rotors, interior details, micro figures, fighter jets, etc. Jack King Kirby would've been proud.)
-MetalBeard's SEA-COW (basically you have a tremendous looking ship, chock full of detail. A fantastic kit to put together. Essentially this is what a true MoC is. An official Lego MoC.)
-Stranger Thing's The UPSIDE Down (cleverly put together and designed and a great unique display model even if you're not a fan of the show).
-UCS R2-D2 (whether a Star Wars fan, sci-fi, robot model fan, this is a GREAT display piece and another unique build).
-75192 Millennium Falcon (THE ultimate Lego set. Largest and a true presence in any room. Looks almost museum quality on display. A must get for any Lego collector!).
-NinjaGo CITY (One of the best Lego sets ever. A great built, full of wonderful details on EVERY LEVEL. Every corner filled with amazing designs. And the price when it came out made it just that much better).
-BIG BEN (a beauty of a landmark building. Impressive yet repetitive build but satisfying, and once on display commands attention.)
-ROLLER COASTER (the engineering brought into this Lego set is incredible. So much fun to build, display and play with.)

My favorite I put together is the Ghostbusters Headquarters. I just love all the detail and Easter eggs in it. I also put together the Ninjago set in this video. So far that has been the largest set I have assembled. It was definitely fun but since I am 38 years old and grew up on Ghostbusters, that one will always hold a special spot in my heart.

My top favorites are all three of the Star Wars UCS sets: both of the Millennium Falcons and the Star Destroyer. I own half of these 10 sets mentioned, but I am fine with not having the other half. I have both of the Millennium Falcons, the Tower Bridge, the Big Ben, and the Taj Mahal. But I will get the Star Destroyer soon. The rest are unique, but not what I want.

I have the new UCS Millenium falcon in the box, and have not built it because I know its going to take forever, and I need to find a space for it... so yes, you nailed a dilemma many of us might have with these big sets :)

I have the roller coaster, Ninjago City & The Docks, and I have the Star Destroyer & the Millennium Falcon but haven’t built either yet because I don’t have the space at the moment. Ninjago City & The Docks are absolutely my favorite Lego sets of all time, and I think Apocalypseburg from The Lego Movie 2 is also right there with them as it’s just as amazing to me. The roller coaster is also a great set as well, I have a motor on mine as well as a ton of custom LED lights I added and it’s a great display when everything is up and running.
