The entire mission we though we were alone trying to find out what happened to Keyes and his men. Little did we know we were secretly being watched and slowly being lured to a trap by the Flood. Thanks Cortana for not bothering to give Chief the heads up about what he was walking into before rushing him to leave.

Such an awesome subtle detail. Many probably never noticed this and if they did, they probably thought it was wildlife or Covenant getting into position.



Little did we know that some of it *was* Covenant... emphasis on the "was".

I remember seeing the third one a lot. I even killed it with the magnum but the body still disappears.

If you kill one of the combat forms with Scoring on you get -100 points. There's not actively flagged as enemies and show up as yellow on the motion tracker.
You can use the pistol to snipe the ones on the hill on the top right when crossing the large downed tree.

There was a lot I didn’t notice when I first played this as a kid. When you approach the facility I thought the marines were shooting at the grunts and jackals then got on the elevator before you could get to them.

This mission is more freaky than the Library mission. The fact that the flood are watching. The infection is already loose and Chief doesn't even know wtf is going on! Chills great mission. Also going down the elevator and all the grunt blood. Those poor Grunt bastards.

Feel like as graphics got better, people started relying on making a game look pretty rather than making it deep and real.

This is probably one of my favorite things a single-player game can do, let the enemy watch the player from a distance without attacking, and make them go away before the player can investigate. This and Ulysses in Fallout: New Vegas are awesome details.

I was just playing this with my gf the other night. She was leading and went to the foggy part. She turned around and an elite combat form was staring right at her but ran away quickly and she didn't notice. I've never seen that happen before.

Oh god! While I was playing the game, I never seen them and haven’t been playing attention to them. I always get the feel of something watching me, but seeing them now in the video is out right surprising and scary

These are so well done. Seeing them run out of view is absolutely horrifying. Sad the flood will never be as creepy as they were in CE. I loved their design too, how their bodies glowed green

the very first sighting makes sense for it to be an elite

the tree branches make it look like an elite head
