Carson, thank you so much. I was teenager in the 1990s. A buddy brought me a brown crayfish. I fed him a long time in a tank filled with BLUE aquarium rocks and kept my tank mainly clean by the use of Algae Eaters (which become catfish if you feed them a long time). Over time, he inherited the color of the tank rocks, which was blue. I am so pleased that his chidlren exist in 2024, because I had not seen "Antoine' my Blue Crayfish, since 1995. Peace! I'm just waiting to hear that the crayfish has eaten some of the fish. Mine did when I put her in with fish in a big tank. That crayfish will darken in colour as it ages. Also, yes, crayfish like to climb things. Just watch it doesn't manage to climb out the tank. Try feeding peas. My crayfish loves peas. I also feed my crayfish prawns and mussels, which she also loves. Crayfish also like to move things around in the tank so your scape might get messed up

Make sure there's a tight lid on that tank. I had 5 crawfish escape my 55g by climbing up the airline tubing.
