The backstory: PCP sent her home with drops. She used them for weeks and gave up. Daughter found us nearby and we are so glad we could help. She'll be following up with an ENT physician for sure.

The feeling of the unclogging process with the water is the most relieving thing. I had a two-day period when i was younger where both ears were so clogged that I couldn’t hear a thing. The feeling of finally having sound back was amazing!

Your GP can prescribe antibiotics for a common ear infection. Getting a referral approved to see an ENT can take too long, especially if you're in any kind of pain.

as someone who had a cholesteatoma (benign skin growth that eats through your ear canal) in both ears when i was 5 (23 now), make sure to take ear health and check ups seriously! just like you would with normal yearly health check ups. i now live with major hearing loss, twice a year ear cleanings for the rest of my life, hearing aids, ear plugs, and yearly hearing tests. stay safe and healthy yall!

They use water or saline to irrigate the ear. I use the shower or bath and its free. Just make sure the water is warm.

I had a severely blocked right ear for the vast majority of my life and it only became a problem when I started to become dizzy because of it. MONTHS of different prescribed drops were given to me until they gave up and sent me to the hospital to get my ear cleared out

Years ago, I was taking a walk. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see something flying straight at me. So, of course I swatted at it and kept walking. Three days later every time I moved my head I could hear something... of course, I ignored it (didn't know it was actually a sound coming from ME). Another 3 days go by and now my ear hurts really bad. I suffered from earaches for as long as I can remember. Doctor previously said "next time you come in here with an earache, we'll put tubes in." Finally, got an apptmt after about 9 days. Doctor is flushing my ear.... guess what comes out? A bee. Now, people laugh at me; because I'm always bobbing and weaving when I see flying bugs lolol.

People are so silly.. ENT is a specialist.. just like a hematologist or a gastroenterologist… it’s totally okay for her to refer someone to the ent.. 😂

Ear blockages can pretty easily lead to an ear infection, I've had two close calls, and one ear infection from blockages I waited too long to see someone about

Ive had that done before. I had a huge ball of wax it was causing me not to hear. That jot water in my ear felt so good especially once the wax came out

I had an ear infection last summer. Honestly probably the worst pain I've ever experienced. I went to the dr and my ear was so swollen they couldn't even see inside my ear canal. Antibiotics and some VERY expensive ear drops took care of it but I couldn't do anything but lay in bed crying for a few days. Horrible experience.

Umm that’s a canal cholesteatoma not an ear infection. The yellow in the middle looks like dead bone. She needs an ENT asap.
