I wish you were around when I was in my 20’s. I always knew how important skin care and sunscreen is and I always used sunscreen but I didn’t start with really intense skin care routine until I hit my 30’s. I don’t feel I look bad for my age but there are things that really bother me that I feel had I started earlier I’d look even better now. Thank you for all you do. I love and watch everything you put out

I started with sunscreen and retinol with 20. I am now mid 30 and my skin looks still radiant without any wrinkle or sunspots in sight

I've been religiously applying sunscreen since 8yo and Alhamdulillah I'm now 38yo, my skin is flawless, no dark spots at all, but I cannot deny the wrinkles. I wish there had been retinol, when I was 20's. Unfortunately I started using retynil at 35yo then retinol, adapalen, and now at 38yo upgraded to tretinoin.

To be fair, once you’re in your 20s, the application - or lack thereof - of SPF is much less relevant than application in childhood/adolescence.
Childhood sun damage will make itself known regardless…

Growing up in the UK being tanned all year round was a sign that you could afford to pop off on holiday regularly.. so, I was going off for 6 mins on the sunbed at Tantastic every other day from around 15. Once I got to 23 I was slathering myself in spf 50. Weird how things change

I am 24 and just started going for facials, using Medik8 retinol, SPF everyday (cause it protects you from pollutants in the air not just the sun), double evening cleanse, I’ve upped my entire skincare and my skin is the best it has ever been. I’ve had acne since I was 12, going to a skin specialist for a facial is the best thing I’ve ever done. I quit drinking and smoking too… I know my skin is gonna be amazing as I age.

i‘m really scared of retinoids because one time i had a sensitive skin moisurizer and it still burnt on my face. i‘ve always had very sensitive skin and i‘m not messing around with things that aren‘t tried and true on my own face.

Can you weigh in on these pre teens and teens using expensive skincare that includes anti aging peptides etc. will it affect their skin in the future?

My eyes are very sensitive to retinoid or retinol ( as like many others; don't know why it's not a major thing of research ). Any type of retinoids, yes even tropicals; harm my eyes. Got a very bad case of dry eye and trying to improve it over 2-3 months by medications and eye drops. It's a little better. I'm not choosing my skin over eyes.
Dr, is there any antiaging and antiacne ingredients like retinoids which works that deeply and over time on skin which can be used in 20s which have similar effects of skin turnover and anti-aging. I have a not very sensitive skin, so retinoid even higher percentages with regular usage didn't ever irritated my skin and it gave me very good results.
For who will absolutely argue on that, yes it was the retinols, as i experimented with different parameters and variables, and everytime i came with the result that dry eyes only depend on retinoid usage, its type and its percentage. I have read some articles and papers on its effect on its meibomian glands. Yes, i kept it awah from my eyes and eye bone area .

Apparentyl, Retinol can cause liver toxicity. I fear people using it for years may end up with issues.

For retinol, what do you recommend if one suffers from Psoriasis?. Thank you! 😊
