Why does it have to be "nerdy"? I find Mr. McComer's hobby very interesting!!!

A metal detector is far more efficient and yields better success rates. Especially since the bronze discs give off a unique signature on the discriminator. Where I live you’d never find it with just a shovel unless you want to dig an artificial pond.
