May 05, 1983 Bob Dylan (accompanied by Mark Knopfler on acoustic guitar) recorded his song Blind Willie McTell, titled after the blues singer Blind Willie McTell (born May 05, 1898). Listen to a live performance by Bob Dylan and his Never Ending Tour band, joined by Mark Knopfler on electric guitar, from Chicago, Illinois on 9th November 2012.

Recorded during the sessions for Dylan's album Infidels in 1983, the song was left off the album and officially released only in 1991 on The Bootleg Series Volumes 1–3 (Rare & Unreleased) 1961–1991.
