Merry Christmas!
It is always great to see a YouTube creator teaching the basics, unfortunately many have moved on and concentrate on micro controllers where it is easier to do things. Thanks for the videos, I always enjoy watching them, even though I already know this information I feel it is important to watch, like and support your channel and others like it so those that need to learn have channels like yours to use.

Good explaination.
In steam systems, there is a similar design principal to avoid called "master-trapping" when installing steam traps.

Recently, I used a 100 ohm resistor to "master-trap" threee 10mm leds that are connected to a wemos d1 mini running a simple 'stoplight' sketch I wrote. so 1 red, 1 yellow, 1 green... all with different fwd voltages.
Since no 2 lights are ever on at the same time I dont have any issues... so far :)
