Clam Auger Drill Plate with Dewalt DCD995 - Brake causing jumping?

FYI, Jumping does not happen with drill plate on and auger removed.

I'm using the Milwaukee M18 drill and it does the same thing - jerking/jumping when the auger is suspended in the air and it comes to a stop. Seems to work fine on the ice

I had same setting as yours and same break as issue
How about when it work on ice will happen same break issue or will better

Wanted to add an update that the drill worked fine on my first ice fishing trip. Besides the Clam adapter breaking!

How many holes do you get out of each battery?? This drill has enough power to cut through?

You just have to gently let off the lever you can’t just slam it back
