🧼🚨 Vacuum Horror Story Alert! 🚨🧼

After a killer workout at Orange Theory, I got way more than I bargained for. The staff asked me for vacuum recommendations (because who doesn’t love vacuum talk post-workout? 😂). I took one look and knew—it had a dirty filter. So, naturally, I offered to take it home and clean it myself (yes, they thought I was nuts! 🙃).

Fast forward to me discovering a mini swamp inside—mold, wet dirt, and gunk galore! 🤢 But after some serious deep cleaning, the vacuum came back to life like magic ✨.

Moral of the story? CLEAN YOUR VACUUM EVERY MONTH, folks! Your vacuum (and your floors) will thank you! 💪🧹

I am so like this! Someone threw away a practically brand new Dyson at my storage facility for this exact reason! It was one of those V 12s and it was so caked and encrusted 😷 I took the whole thing apart, cleaned thoroughly and it works like new!

I remember the first time i cleaned my vacuum.... The suction hadn't been working quite right for a few months. I had previously bought a lot of very cheap vacuums and assumed it was normal, but given i had spent 300 on this new one i wanted to make sure i checked it out before calling someone to help.

The issue? A freaking SOCK had been stuck in the... Idk what to call it, basically it got sucked up just past the head of the vacuum and was essentially a filter not letting anything else into the dirt chamber. 😅 I went over my carpets again after it was all cleaned out and the difference was night and day. I routinely clran mine out now! Always looking for the dopamine hit i got from all the gunk i pulled out on sock day😂

I absolutely love cleaning vacuums!! Its crazy my whole life, like most people would just chuck it to the curb once it started lagging. But now I love cleaning. Especially vacuums, air vents, drains, etc.

I had a similar horror when cutting the hair out of the rotator brush of my dorm vacuums at college…. I wouldn’t dare look INSIDE the vacuum. Super old clunky vacuums and Lord knows they probably never ever got cleaned.

This looks fairly easy to take apart, is it actually or just editing magic?

I have ny huge cord oldie and completely taking it apart would require a lot of screwdriver work and god knows what else. I can and so clean the hose and head and the bag compartment but i have no way of getting into rhe rest of it without a lot of work and padding.
