Lightest GTR battery

I've been looking for a lighweight battery option for the longest time. I was planning to go with an Odyssey PC680, but I've have bad experiences in the past. Further research led me to Lithium iron phosphate batteries. I've never owned one before, but why not?

I am very happy to have found this channel, exactly my taste. I have an 09 Gtr and the only thing I would like to improve on it is reduce the weight.

Got mine in now. The 51R that antigravity offers is $749-950 !! And twice the weight at 8 lbs. But also has 1000-1200 cranking amps and 24-30 amp hours. This one has just a bit less at 680 and 20 and 3.8 lbs. Why is the 51R so much heavier with not much more performance and why did they put that much power into the 51R if its not needed?? Something doesn't add up to me. Last question, did you install the optima charging leads onto the GTRs battery cables as well? the charger won't hurt the GTRs electrical system if it's always plugged in?

Nice video! You alway do a great job in your vehicles 👏 A huge improvement in weight saving. But DID YOU THINK THIS BATERY COULD DO THE WORK IN A TACOMA? 🤔 I’m starting to think seriously in purchase one for mine truck (it’s 2023) or could be better the 900CCA heavy duty version of this same battery?

I have atx-30 (restart version) for more cold cranking amps. Use it in my track s2000 without any battery tender for over 1 year now with no issues. Car Mainly sits in the garage until track days and no issues. Keep forgetting on getting one for the supra as it is in storage.

How does the GTR oem charging system manage the lithium iron phosphate chemistry?

Is this the 24ah or 30ah? I think 24 is the lightest but it's recommended for track use only.

That's a big weight savings! Another easy way to keep the weight down, is drive with 1/3 or 1/4 tank of gas. 6 pounds per gallon! How much weight do you think you have saved so far with your weight reduction mods? Thanks!

wow never knew gtr came witth battery that small, those are same battery on honda civics lol. Try 60 lbs AGM battery that comes in BMWs m240i and supras.
