The Truth About GMOs

Natural food blogs are up in arms over news that cows may soon be forced to feed on GMO, or genetically modified, grass. Cara Santa Maria debates the Non-GMO Project's definition and explanation of Genetically Modified Organisms.

It is also important to point out that those who are in favor of GM food production (genetically modified) argue that these techniques bring with them multiple benefits for both producers and consumers. As for producers, they manage to accelerate the growth of food, reduce the use of pesticides and herbicides and increase their profits

No one should be forced to use anything.  All products should be labelled.  Then it is up to the consumer to make choices based upon their own beliefs.  It's pretty frigging simple.

Thats one of 2 things i disagree about with my party. Last i checked they supported a ban on GMOs and at least significant reduction of nuclear power. I cant agree with either, but at the same time, they support equal rights, often are vigilantly speaking out against religion, legalisation of drugs, an unconditional base income and so on and they are allready able to make substantial progress for our country in reaching those goals. Obviously "our country" isnt the US here.

Ugh.... The stupidity of conspiracy theorists never ceases to amaze me. They all just parot what the hear with out any facts to back it up.

It seems that much of the protest against GMOs, among liberals, has more to do with our political perspective than it does with actual valid science. In that sense, we are no better than many conservatives, who embrace Creationism and deny man made climate change. I understand, as a liberal myself, being suspicious of corporate America. They have given us ample reason to be suspicious of them. However, we should not engage in pseudoscience to do it, and vilifying GMOs, and thinking that vaccinations are harmful (another myth that has proliferated among liberal circles),  with scant evidence to back such assertions, unfortunately impugns on the credibility of science, which is the best tool we have to discern what is true from what is false.

I find this documentary interesting because I have been able to learn about transgenic foods that are foods that have been processed by genetic engineering and that many of the foods that we consume daily are not of natural origin since they have gone through a process.

I think the information provided by this documentary about the food we consume daily is very interesting because we realize that many of these foods have been genetically processed so that they grow faster and these food foods are known as transgenic foods afterwards. to see this video I am left with the learning that the foods that we consume daily, many of them are not of natural origin

This video is very interesting because it gives us very good information about transgenic foods and how they are genetically modified, and this topic is essential for us since it is about what we eat or eat every day

The video seemed very good because they explain to us that they are GMOs and they tell us that they are doing our food with engineering and inform us that we are consuming.

This documentary gives us a lot of information about transgenic foods, these are made so that the food is more durable and develops in less time, with the genetic modification it is achieved that the food is much more resistant and contains greater nutritional qualities.

Many people work altering the growth process of the food we eat, but do not think about the consequences that this can cause, hopefully in the future you can find another way to interact with them, since there are health problems due to this.

Fun fact guys - "Non-GMO" and "Contains no GMOs" on your packaging also literally means nothing. That kind of advertising is not regulated (In the US). In fact, hundreds of companies have been sued in the last half-decade for making that claim and it being provably false.
Stop jumping at buzz words and do the research yourself. If you want to buy a particular product, don't trust advertisement - go online and look up the company and the product and determine whether it could reasonably be considered harmful or not.
