Nice Fixture! Thanks for sharing.
I made a vacuum fixture for a ShopBot Router that I used to own. Made a bunch of LED edge lit signs which are really neat. LED's come in different colors and some with multiple colors that can alternate i.e. FLASH.
Most of them were 11" tall X 13" wide which were nice for office desks or night lights; I did make one for a guys ManCave that was 24" tall X 36" wide. My original ones were cut with a V Bit but ended up going to a spring loaded carbide engraving tool from Tormach to just scratch the surface which turned out a lot better. Also when running the program with the spring loaded tool the spindle rpm was set to ZERO as no rotation was required.
I used mostly clear 1/4" plexiglas but on some of them I used mirrored plexiglas and cut them on the back side reversing the artwork so that they would show correctly from the front side. The mirrored ones were especially useful when I added a clock to the artwork as the mirrored surface hid the clock mechanism from the front view.
You could even add one to your beautiful machine if desired as the LED strips run from a 12 volt DC from 110 volt AC wall wart. You can even run them from a 9 volt DC battery or a 12 Volt DC battery for display where no AC power is available. i.e. Car Shows etc.
