This 30 Year Old Rototiller is Still as Good as it Gets | Troy-Bilt 'Horse'

Quick overview on the Troy-Bilt Horse rear tine rototiller and how to operate it.

This unit is from the early 90's. It has the Kohler 308cc 8hp Magnum engine. It has been meticulously maintained by its owner (Randy), and I am proud to have added it to the fleet in the ranch's growing "Yard-senal".

These have a PTO shaft that powers the rototiller (in this case) along with an array of other attachments Troy-Bilt made for it back in the day. I also briefly show you the Wood Chipper/Shredder I got with this. I am actively looking for the snow plow blade & the Log Splitter attachments.

This guy's first task is to till up a section of old farmer wasteland behind the little white shed. The rutted up ground was essentially a refuse pile for decades and has lots of surprises buried just beneath the soil. I figure tilling is about the safest way (while still maintaining some level of efficiency) of working up the soil so it can be re sloped & packed down, eventually becoming a gravel parking area.

One of the best tillers ever built and it'll run circles around most new tillers

Would be nice to have the dozer blade for it that Troy Bilt made. Mounts to your front bumper. Best tiller ever made. Great find

Yes you have to hold up on the lever for reverse and yes it's a safety feature

You need to stop waving the camera around randomly. Put it on a tripod and leave it there. 👎👎😒😒
