Metal Detecting 2019 - Found Some Silver!
It's been way too long since the last time I did a little dirt digging so I decided to have some fun! I hit up a few spots that I knew would either give me some good targets and was pleasantly surprised that I was able to score my first silver find of 2019!

I also ended up with some coins (and some trash as usual) but I had a lot of fun just being outside and digging some targets!

2:10 looks like a chain link from a manure spreader..they still make chain links like that for newer small spreaders

That weird buckle is for football shoulder pads to hook straps to keep them attached

Great vid. I found a 1964 silver quarter metal detecting awhile ago. I decided to clean it up in hot water instead of rubbing it to death with my mud soaked glove. Glad I did, because the coin was in great shape. And by the way, those Bi-Centennial quarters are mine, I lost them right where you found them back in "76".

Hi Rob, The oval piece with grooves in the side looks like a cable shieve for hooking a cable probably to a hook on a crane where the cable dead ends . The hole in the shieve would be used to put a pin to hold the hook for lifting.Cable clamps would hold the cable around the shieve.

Great video Rob! Based on the fact that you said it was a field for sports, I'd say the metal clip at 6:20 is from a strap on football shoulder pads

hey rob i think that thing right next to the key is a saxophone or a flute protection cap. some of them are made out of precious metals like gold and silver.

Hey Rob, nice to see you out digging. If you are hoping for more exciting finds, recommend you try getting permission to hunt on private property (old homes, farms, etc.) that's where the truly amazing stuff is. Good hunt all the same. :-) Thanks for sharing.
